Ranger years we publish (and what to expect)

Lots of Parts currently publishes Ranger hitch year pages for 1999 through 2011, then again for 2019 through 2023. That matches the older compact truck and the return of the mid-size Ranger. We do not publish 2012–2018 landers (Ford skipped those years for the North American Ranger), and we do not yet have 2024-and-newer Ranger year pages live.

For 2019–2023, the Class 3 we stock is CURT 13417. For the older trucks that still have landers, CURT 13019 is the Class 3 on those pages. Always stay under Ford’s tow rating for your engine, cab, bed, and tow package — a hitch does not raise the truck’s limit.

2019–2023 Ranger Class 3 rear: CURT 13417. The product card lists about 6,000 lb trailer and 900 lb tongue for weight-carrying use, with higher weight-distribution figures on the sheet. Confirm notes on the card before you buy.
Wiring · 2019–2023 CURT 56431 — custom 7-way for trailer lights, brakes, and reverse. Match the plug to your trailer.
1999–2011 Ranger landers Class 3 rear: CURT 13019. Typical card ratings are about 4,000 lb trailer and 400 lb tongue weight-carrying, with weight-distribution figures listed separately. Application years on the card also cover older Rangers and select Mazda B-Series trucks.
Wiring · older Ranger CURT 55325 covers listed 1993–1999 Ranger years (and related Mazda B-Series notes). Confirm your year on the card — it is not a 2019-and-newer harness.
2024-and-newer No Ranger year landers and no dedicated rear hitch SKU in this catalogue yet. We do stock CURT 58986, which is RV flat-tow wiring for a Ranger being towed behind a motorhome — not a trailer-light harness for pulling a trailer.

Never exceed Ford’s tow rating for your truck. The lowest number among vehicle rating, hitch rating, ball mount, and trailer rating wins.

  • Believe Ford’s tow rating for your drivetrain and tow package — it beats any hitch brochure.
  • Plan for salt season — rinse the receiver and plug it when spring arrives.
  • 2024-and-newer owners should know rear hitch year landers are not live yet; RV flat-tow wiring is a different job than trailer lights.
