Wrangler generations and hitch shopping

Jeep changed frames when it moved from JK to JL. Hitch part numbers follow the bumper and frame package, not just the word “Wrangler.” Use this map, then open your year page for fitment notes.

Years What we usually stock
2007–2018 JK Class 3 options include CURT 13432 and, on many builds, CURT 13392. Wiring often starts with CURT 55124.
2018–2025 JL Rear Class 3: CURT 13392 (read diesel and 4xe exclusions). Front receiver: CURT 31086. RV-style wiring: CURT 58964.
Older TJ (1997–2006) We still list Class 3 receivers such as CURT 13430 and CURT 13408. Year landers below start at 2012, so confirm fitment on the product card for older TJs.

Never exceed Jeep’s tow rating for your doors, soft top or hard top, and powertrain. Rubicon packages and aftermarket bumpers can change clearance.
