2007 Pontiac Torrent hitch questions
Which trailer hitch fits a 2007 Pontiac Torrent?
CURT 13591 (Class 3, 2-inch receiver, 3,500 lb) and CURT 12291 (Class 1, 1-1/4 inch receiver, 3,500 lb) both fit. Pick the class that covers your trailer with room to spare, then check the fit table on the product page for your build.
How much can a 2007 Pontiac Torrent tow with this hitch?
The hitch is rated to 3,500 lb gross trailer weight and 350 lb tongue weight, or 4,000 lb with a weight-distribution hitch. Your Torrent has its own tow rating in the owner's manual, and the lower number is your limit. A loaded bike rack counts against tongue weight too.
Do I need a wiring harness for the 2007 Pontiac Torrent?
If a trailer is going on, yes. Brake and turn signals have to work, and CURT 56012 plugs into the factory connector so the trailer lights follow the Torrent's. Order it with the hitch and it's one install.
