$359.84
CURT 56440 WIRE HARNESS 16-22 PASSAT CURT 56440
$141.79A Class 1 hitch puts a bike rack or a small cargo carrier behind your 2021 Volkswagen Passat. CURT 11234 is a Class 1 hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver, rated to 2,000 lb gross trailer weight and 200 lb tongue weight, $359.84 CAD. It doesn't fit the Hands Free Trunk trim. Shipping is free anywhere in Canada.
CURT calls the install a novice job, about 30 minutes with hand tools, and the main body tucks up behind the bumper so only the receiver shows.
Trailer lights are a plug-in job on this one. CURT 56440 is the four-flat plug harness for the 2021 Volkswagen Passat, $141.79 CAD, and it clicks into the factory connector so you're not splicing wires behind the bumper.

2021 Volkswagen Passat hitch questions
Which trailer hitch fits a 2021 Volkswagen Passat?
CURT 11234 is a Class 1 hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver, rated to 2,000 lb gross trailer weight and 200 lb tongue weight. It doesn't fit the Hands Free Trunk trim.
How much can a 2021 Volkswagen Passat tow with this hitch?
The hitch is rated to 2,000 lb gross trailer weight and 200 lb tongue weight. Your Passat has its own tow rating in the owner's manual, and the lower number is your limit. A loaded bike rack counts against tongue weight too.
Do I need a wiring harness for the 2021 Volkswagen Passat?
If a trailer is going on, yes. Brake and turn signals have to work, and CURT 56440 plugs into the factory connector so the trailer lights follow the Passat's. Order it with the hitch and it's one install.
Will it fit my Passat?
Nearly every build, with a few exceptions. It doesn't fit the Hands Free Trunk trim. The full fit table is on each product page, so check it before you order.
