Kia Soul Trailer Hitch Buyer’s Guide (Canada)

Shopping a trailer hitch for a Kia Soul in Canada? For 2010 through 2019 we stock Class 1 receivers and matching four-flat harnesses, and the year landers in that range are live. Newer 2020-and-up Souls are the honest gap — CURT publishes CURT 11575 for listed years excluding center exhaust, and that card is not on our Shopify shelf yet. This guide sticks to what returns on Lots of Parts.

Watch these CURT videos first

All four videos are from the official CURT YouTube channel (@curtmfg). CURT does not currently publish a dedicated Soul hitch install on that channel for the cards we stock, so we use selection, technique, wiring, and ball-mount primers. Finish with the install sheet that ships with your CURT hitch.

If an embed does not load, use the YouTube link under the card.

Class 1 openings are usually 1.25 inch. Match the shank and tongue-weight rating before you hang a rack or a small trailer.

What we stock for 2010 through 2019

Two Class 1 hitch cards cover the older Souls we list. Both use a 1.25 inch receiver and rate about 2,000 lb trailer and 200 lb tongue on the card. Kia’s own tow and tongue numbers for your trim still win.

Wiring we do stock

Soul wiring splits on tail-lamp style. Match the harness to your lamps — do not guess from the year alone.

Four-flat covers tail, brake, and turn lamps. If you need electric brakes, reverse lights, or charge power, you are in seven-way territory — start with the four-pin versus seven-pin guide and do I need a brake controller.

Year pages that are live

These landers exist today. We only link years that return on the store — no invented 2020-and-up Soul URLs.

2020-and-up Soul — honest gap

Item Status on this store
CURT 11110 and CURT 11419 Live for the older Soul years listed on each card.
CURT 56220 and CURT 56222 Live four-flat harnesses — pick LED versus non-LED carefully.
CURT 11575 Class 1 (newer years) CURT publishes this Class 1, 1.25 inch card for listed 2020 through 2025 Soul years excluding center exhaust. Not listed as an active Shopify product here — no product link.
Year landers 2020 and newer Not live. We are not inventing hitch-2020-kia-soul style URLs.

If your Soul has a center exhaust and you are shopping a newer year, CURT’s own exclusion note matters even before our catalogue gap. Confirm the exhaust layout and the CURT application list before you assume a fit.

What a Class 1 path usually means on a Soul

Step 1Stay inside Kia’s numbers

Hitch-card pounds never override the owner’s manual for your trim.

Step 2Match hitch to generation

2010 through 2013 uses CURT 11110. 2014 through 2019 uses CURT 11419.

Step 3Match wiring to lamps

LED versus non-LED decides 56220 versus 56222 on the older cars.

Step 4Expect 1.25 inch accessories

Many cargo racks want 2 inch shanks — read the packaging.

Honest gaps

Newer years

11575 not stocked

CURT publishes the later Soul Class 1 hitch excluding center exhaust. We do not sell it here today.

Landers

2020 and newer missing

Only 2010 through 2019 year pages (plus 2016 Soul EV) are live.

Wiring years

56222 stops earlier

Non-LED 56222 lists through 2018 on the title while LED 56220 stretches through 2019 — read each card.

Ratings

Vehicle limit wins

Hitch-card pounds do not override Kia’s tow and tongue numbers for your Soul trim.
