Nissan Armada Trailer Hitch Buyer’s Guide (Canada)

Looking for a trailer hitch for a Nissan Armada in Canada? The first-generation trucks we publish as landers (including the 2004 Pathfinder Armada badge year) share one main Class 3 receiver on our shelf today: CURT 13188. This guide sticks to that catalogue fact, the year pages that are live, and the honest gap for second-generation Armadas we do not stock a rear Class 3 for yet.

Built for Canadian Armada owners. Free shipping on CURT towing gear from Lots of Parts. New to hitch shopping? Start with the buying guide, what hitch class do I need, and how to choose a hitch. Prefer the full index? Open the towing guides hub.

All four videos are from the official CURT YouTube channel (@curtmfg). CURT has not published a dedicated Armada install for CURT 13188 on the channel today, so we lean on the selection, technique, ball-mount, and wiring primers that still matter before you torque a Class 3 receiver.

Armada years we publish (and the gaps)

We publish hitch year pages for the 2004 Pathfinder Armada badge year and for Nissan Armada 2005 through 2015. That covers the first-generation truck family. We do not currently publish Armada hitch landers for 2016, and we do not stock a rear Class 3 for the second-generation Armada (roughly 2017 and newer) in the CURT catalogue on this store today — so we will not invent a SKU or a year page for those trucks.

Years What we usually stock
2005–2015 Nissan Armada Class 3: CURT 13188 with a 2 inch receiver. Card ratings typically about 6,000 lb trailer and 600 lb tongue, with a higher weight-distribution rating on the same card. Shared Infiniti QX56 rows appear on the Shopify title — confirm Armada on the application before you buy. Nissan’s own tow package still limits what you can pull.
2004 Pathfinder Armada Same Class 3 card: CURT 13188. Use the dedicated 2004 Pathfinder Armada lander rather than guessing from a later Armada page.
2016 and newer Armada No hitch year landers for 2016 on this site today, and no second-generation rear Class 3 in our current CURT catalogue. If your truck already has a factory receiver, verify that hardware and wiring against Nissan’s tow rating instead of forcing a first-gen SKU onto a later frame.

What CURT 13188 is (and is not)

Class 3 with a 2 inch opening is the everyday full-size SUV pattern: utility trailers, boats, and campers within the vehicle rating, plus hitch-mounted accessories that match the receiver. It is not a free upgrade past Nissan’s published tow and tongue numbers for your VIN. If you mostly want a bike rack, you still need tongue-weight headroom — see the bike rack and cargo carrier guide.

Honest gaps

Catalogue

One main rear Class 3

CURT 13188 is the rear Class 3 we stock for these Armada years. We are not padding the page with unrelated Nissan SUV hitches.

Second gen

2017-and-newer gap

No second-generation Armada rear Class 3 in the current catalogue on this store. Factory hitch checks beat guesswork.

Wiring

Thin harness shelf

We will not invent an Armada four-flat SKU. Confirm lights on your year lander and read the wiring guide.

QX56 on the title

The Shopify title leads with Infiniti QX56 on some views. The Armada years still need a clean match on the application list.
