Frontier years we publish (and what to expect)

Lots of Parts publishes Frontier hitch year pages from 2005 through 2026. That covers the long second-generation run and the redesigned truck that arrived for 2022. The Class 3 we stock for those years is CURT 13241. The product card also lists 2009–2012 Suzuki Equator — a twin platform — so confirm Frontier on the card before you buy.

We do not publish first-generation 1998–2004 Frontier year landers. We do stock an older harness for listed late-1990s years, but that is wiring only — not a full hitch lander path.

Years What we usually stock
2005–2026 Frontier Class 3 rear: CURT 13241. Card ratings are typically about 5,000 lb trailer and 500 lb tongue for weight-carrying use, with higher weight-distribution figures on the sheet. A 2 inch receiver opening. Confirm notes on the card.
Wiring · lights CURT 55441 four-flat for listed Frontier years (shared Pathfinder and Xterra notes on the card). CURT 56226 when you need a 7-way for brakes and reverse. Match the plug to your trailer.
Brake control harness CURT 51382 and CURT 51383 are brake-controller plug harnesses for listed Titan and Frontier years — not trailer-light harnesses. Use them when you add an in-cab controller.
Older wiring only CURT 56423 covers listed 1998–2003 Frontier years. We do not publish matching hitch year landers for that generation, so do not invent a receiver from a later card.

Never exceed Nissan’s tow rating for your cab, bed, engine, and tow package. A hitch does not raise the truck’s limit. The lowest number among vehicle rating, hitch rating, ball mount, and trailer rating wins.

  • First-generation owners should know hitch year landers are not live — do not borrow a later SKU without checking fitment.
