Heavy-gauge aluminized steel. MBRP calls this the value system, with the same fitment and sound as the stainless ones. A dry climate, or a vehicle you want to sound better without paying for stainless.

Ram 1500 exhaust
MBRP for the 1500Dodge Ram and Ram
Older systems are tagged Dodge Ram 1500. Newer ones are tagged Ram 1500. A few cover both, with different years on each badge, and the card keeps those years apart. Armor Lite is aluminized steel. Armor Plus is T409 stainless. Armor Pro is T304 stainless. Armor BLK is an aluminized system with a black tailpipe and tip.

The four steels
What the series means
The shape of the system follows the vehicle. The series is the metal, and on Armor BLK it is also the finish on the tip.
Salt and slush
Armor Plus
T409 stainless, with the lifetime warranty MBRP puts on this series. It resists rust that goes through the pipe. Road salt can still stain the surface.
Winter truck
Armor Pro
T304 stainless, the grade MBRP calls the most durable, also with a lifetime warranty. This is the one they spec when the vehicle lives in harsh weather.
Black tip
Armor BLK
Aluminized tubing, with a high-heat black powder coat on the tailpipe and tip. MBRP warrants that black finish for one year. The pipe underneath stays bare metal so it can take stone chips.

Questions
Does a cat-back replace the catalytic converter?
No. A cat-back starts behind the catalytic converter and runs to the tip. A resonator-back starts further back. An axle-back is the section behind the rear axle. The card names which one you are looking at.
Why do so many part numbers fit the same years?
MBRP cuts a different system for the exit, the tubing size, and the vehicle. This page shows the exit, the tubing, and the tip from the product specs. Open the product page to match the rest of the fitment before you order.
Which series is louder?
MBRP says Armor Lite has the same sound as the stainless systems. Armor BLK is the same performance with a black tip. The series is the metal and the finish, not a louder or quieter tune.
