Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cold Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air. This model includes a no maintenance PowerCore(R) filter. By using Donaldsons PowerCore Filtration technology submicron contaminants load on the surface rather than collecting in the depth of the filter. This is why we warranty our replacement air filters for 4 years or 150000 miles in urban conditions whichever comes first. The Periscoop uses Volants sealed air filter box and high-velocity air intake tube. The air filter box lid also incorporates a hood seal adaptor that funnels air from a hood-mounted snorkel which extends up the passenger side of the vehicle to the roof-line. The snorkel scoop uses a polished aluminum front cover that looks great, and prevents larger debris from entering into the air intake system.
