Trailer lights are a plug-in job on this one. CURT 56474 is the four-flat plug harness for the 2024 Kia Sorento, $135.43 CAD, and it clicks into the factory connector so you're not splicing wires behind the bumper. A second harness fits as well; both are below.
What you need to tow with a 2024 Kia Sorento
A bike rack only needs the hitch. A trailer needs all three, and every piece ships free anywhere in Canada.
- CURT 13473 hitch, $324.82 CAD. The receiver that bolts to the Sorento.
- CURT 56474 wiring harness, $135.43 CAD. Plugs in, no splicing; the trailer lights follow the Sorento's.
- CURT 45836 ball mount, $41.70 CAD. Ball mount with the ball already on it, ready to hook a trailer. Bigger coupler? CURT 45041 carries a 2-5/16-inch ball, $62.42 CAD.

2024 Kia Sorento hitch questions
Which trailer hitch fits a 2024 Kia Sorento?
CURT 13473 (Class 3, 2-inch receiver, 4,000 lb) and CURT 13609 (Class 3, 2-inch receiver, 4,000 lb) both fit. Pick the class that covers your trailer with room to spare, then check the fit table on the product page for your build.
How much can a 2024 Kia Sorento tow with this hitch?
The hitch is rated to 4,000 lb gross trailer weight and 600 lb tongue weight. Your Sorento has its own tow rating in the owner's manual, and the lower number is your limit. A loaded bike rack counts against tongue weight too.
Do I need a wiring harness for the 2024 Kia Sorento?
If a trailer is going on, yes. Brake and turn signals have to work, and CURT 56474 plugs into the factory connector so the trailer lights follow the Sorento's. Order it with the hitch and it's one install.
