Sorento years we publish (and the gaps)

We publish hitch year pages for 2011 through 2015 and 2021 through 2024. That leaves honest holes: no pre-2011 landers, no 2016 through 2020 landers, and no 2025 or 2026 Sorento hitch pages yet. Mid-generation Sorentos (roughly 2016–2020) also do not have a rear Class 3 in our current CURT catalogue, so we will not invent a SKU for those years.

2021–2024 Sorento Class 3: CURT 13473 with a 2 inch receiver (card ratings typically about 4,000 lb trailer and 600 lb tongue). Shared with listed Santa Fe years on the same card — confirm Sorento before you buy. Wiring on the shelf today is thin: CURT 56420 lists 2023 Sorento among its Hyundai and Kia applications, not every 2021–2024 year.
2014–2015 Sorento Class 3: CURT 13152 (shared Santa Fe Sport card). Typical brochure numbers run higher than many Sorento tow packages — about 6,000 lb trailer and 900 lb tongue on the hitch card, still limited by Kia’s rating. Watch the official Sorento install above. We do not list a Sorento-specific four-flat harness for these two years in the current catalogue.
2011–2013 Sorento Class 3: CURT 13073 (shared Santa Fe card), typically about 3,500 lb trailer and 350 lb tongue. Wiring: CURT 56328 for 2011–2013 Sorento excluding SX — confirm the SX exclusion on the card.
Lander and catalogue gaps No live hitch year pages for 2016–2020 or for 2025–2026. No rear Class 3 for those mid years in our current CURT shelf. CURT has published other Sorento SKUs (for example a 13609 install on a late Sorento) that we do not stock today — we will not link a SKU we cannot ship.

Never exceed Kia’s tow rating for your Sorento trim, engine, and tow package. Many Sorento packages sit well below hitch brochure numbers — the vehicle limit still wins.

A 2013 lander does not prove a 2017 hitch. Shared Santa Fe titles are normal on CURT cards — read the Sorento years on the same sheet.

Hitch cards quote hitch capacity. Your Sorento door sticker and owner’s manual still set the legal towing limit for that trim.

Wiring

Do not guess harness years

56328 excludes SX. 56420 only lists 2023 Sorento among its applications today. If your year is missing, say so before you splice.

Setup

Ball mount still matters
