How to grease

Clean the tube. Apply a thin film on the interior walls. Do not pack the tube full. Wipe the shank before storage so you do not track grease into the vehicle.

Canada note

Salt brine loves bare steel tubes. A spring clean-and-grease after winter is cheap insurance, especially if a cover was missing all season.
