Parked trailer
Barbell and coupler-specific locks block the latch or ball socket. Pick the style that matches your coupler. Store the key where the tow vehicle can reach it.
On the road
Remove the parking lock before towing. Hitch with the latch fully closed and pinned. A parking lock is not a substitute for a closed latch on the highway.
