Clean first. Apply a light coat on pins and the face. Plug and unplug once to spread. More grease is not more protection if it stops conductivity.
Where else
Hinged socket covers and trailer plug ends benefit too. Skip greasing surfaces that instructions say must stay dry, such as some friction sway bars.
