Size from a measurement

Use a tongue-weight scale with the trailer loaded. Choose the round-bar kit whose window covers that number with margin. Moving up a class without measuring just buys heavier bars you may over-tighten.

Level the trailer on the ball first. Hook the bars and set tension per the instructions. Compare front fender height before hitching, on the ball alone, and with bars on. You want the barred height closer to unhitched.
