How charging usually works

Many kits charge from the tow-vehicle seven-way while plugged in. Others include a wall charger for storage. Follow the kit instructions. Mixing random automotive chargers can overcook a small breakaway pack.

Verify charge current

If the battery keeps going flat, test whether the charge pin at the plug is live and whether the charger output reaches the battery. Corroded plugs are a common Canadian culprit.
